This course starts with what graphic design is, the types of projects you may work on, and the steps to become a graphic designer.

You will then learn design theory, including typography, type styles, serif fonts, font pairing and using type in a layout. The course also looks at the history of design styles, from Art Nouveau and Bauhaus to Art Deco, Swiss design and Pop Art, and includes a student project. Finally, it gives an overview of artificial intelligence in graphic design and the basics of photo editing, including working with photos.
